Returning to Venus

Returning to Venus aims to embody Venus as a world beyond time and space, remembering and rewilding our forgotten feminine essence, feeling into the connection to the planet named after her.
Venus, the goddess of the feminine beauty, as a metaphor to remember a time before the witch-hunts, the rise of christianity and patriarchy, a time not connected to judgement and shame but rather nature, community and empowerment. I want to continue the true Venusian essence with my Textiles and Designs, celebrating and remembering who we as feminine beings really are.

This Textile based Graduation collection aims to let experimental materials form timeless silhouettes, extravagant everyday garments and reflect all facets of the feminine essence.
The pieces are made from domestic machine knits, up-cycled leather and denim garments, sheep fur and dead-stock materials,

as well as naturally tie dyed second hand silk garments and knitted silk single jersey.
The shell prints were made with sublimation printing.
