A Textile Collection, reflecting the wild feminine in all her balance. Exploring hand weaving and natural dying, working mostly with textile waste.

The wound of the feminine goes deep, it exists since thousands of years. We repress our emotions, tell ourselves we’re not worthy, treat everyone as if they’re the most important person but forget ourselves.
Doing so feels like we live in an antropocenic world, living out of a feeling with the need for more, judging and shaming because we can’t get enough. A linear, rational world where there is a beginning and an end. Ignoring and numbing the problems in this world because we’re hurting so much. I truly believe it’s not that simple and one dimensional. I believe there is many dimensions to being a human in this world.
We are ment to express all that we are, shine our light and accept all facetes and emotions without judgment. We’re ment to live in a symbiocenic world, circular and in balance with nature and therefore with ourselves.

From my heart to yours I created a textile collection that represents all personas of the feminine, the innocent, good hearted Gaia, the dark, disruptive, lustfull Lillith and the all embracing, orgasmic High Priestess. To inspire and encourage to allow all facetes of our being.
This textile collection is a mix of woven and naturally dyed fabrics, using fabric waste, including calico, single jersey, leather and black denim as well as curated mohair-wool, merino wool, cotton, acrylic yarn waste. This recycling process supports the symbiocenic, circular world I’m striving for.
To reclaim the shamed feminine I used the symbol of a vulva as a reacurring image woven into plainweave structures. Imitating the rough structures of nature, my woven fabrics have uneven surfaces, allowing all imperfections to be seen, by using fabric straps and hairy yarns.
